The number one question I get asked from people when they find out that I juice, is what’s the difference between juicing and blending and which one is better for you? My simple answer is, they are very different from each other, but both extremely healthy. When I started juicing I was 2 rounds into my chemo treatment and was feeling pretty crummy. I don’t know about you, but mornings for us with our 3 girls can be pretty hectic. Every minute counts. Up until a few years ago our biggest decision in the morning was what kind of cereal did they want to eat. I think we always had 3 different brands and flavors on hand. Mornings were pretty simple, until we decided to kick that sugar bomb of a breakfast to the curb. Even the brands that market themselves as healthy choices are usually full of sugar and suspect ingredients.

How I took back my health after my cancer diagnosis.
This is me after each of my 6 chemo treatments wearing Penguin Cold Caps to save my hair from falling out due to my treatment. These caps were -40 degrees below zero. Yes, in case your wondering, that is very cold! Hence being wrapped in a warm blanket with an electric one underneath.
Up until February 2015 I had been living a seemingly normal life. Like most young moms, I was balancing working full time, and raising my 3 young girls. We were constantly on the move and meeting every days demands as they occurred. I was exhausted and felt like I was barely keeping my head above water. Life got even more complicated when our youngest daughter was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder, but through it all we tried to manage the stress from that situation and keep life in perspective.
